• What is the difference between your records and acetates (dubplates)?

Acetates are made of a very soft material. That means they can only be played very few times (10-20 times) before their quality starts to deteriorate noticeably. Our blanks are of the same material as pressed records which means they are more durable!

  • How often can you vinyl discs be played?

Since we cut on genuine vinyl, the quality and durability of our records is absolutely the same as pressed ones. That means they wear out at exactly at the same rate as pressed vinyl.

  • Are you records good for scratching?

We can cut the groove deeper than a pressed record, so during scratching the needle cannot jump as easily as on pressed records, because it is guided better in a deeper groove than in a shallow one!

  • How much music can you cut per side?

That depends on the size of the blank (7", 10", 12") and the volume the disc is cut at. The louder the disc is cut, the wider the groove and the more space it needs on the disc. That is why the maximum recording time decreases as the volume increases. Check the technology page for details.

  • What disc sizes are there?

The common sizes we have in stock are 7" (small or big hole) , 10" & 12". All records are black. On request, you can have 10"(180gr) & 12" (180gr) in black or clear color.

  • How should i master the audio material for cutting?

The source material must be in as good a quality as possible (WAV (min. 16 bit, 44.1 kHz) or mp3 with very high bit rate (above 192 Kbits) or audio CD. No psychoacoustic effects in the mix, no bass below 20 Hz (that is the resonance of the pick-up arm). No extreme stereo effects. Remember that trebles above 15 kHz are always quieter on vinyl than on CDs!

  • Do you deliver abroad?

We deliver all over the world.
